Attack Your Life - You Must Look Around The Corner

Yes, success could be just around the corner.  Nobody can argue with that statement.  But nothing can be truer than the idea that you can not see what is around the corner unless you get up and look around the corner.

This requires action and effort.  You must first define what you consider success.  For many people success is making boat loads of money.  It is true that society esteems those who are financially successful.  I believe that this is not sufficient for most people and yes perhaps even a bit shallow.

Tell a person who has been depressed for 6 months and somehow through considerable effort has a good day and is able to laugh that they are not successful regardless of their annual income.  I have been there.  I know what it is like to laugh one day and realize that the sound is foreign and odd.  That is a great feeling and has nothing to do with making money.

Success can be changing your jobs to a position that actually earns you less but gives you something else.  More time with family, less stress, and a happier work environment.  The fact is if we did not have so many  credit cards or car payments then most of us would not need to make as much money.

Success can be creating a charity or being involved in community activities.  Success can be devoting more of your time to your children.

And yes success, can be working for yourself and supporting success.  However, I know many people who have owned their own financially successful business but have gone back into the work force because they do not want to detail with all the responsibilities.  They are now happy to get a paycheck and company paid benefits.

Happiness should be valued above all other qualities that we possess.  We have one life folks.  ONE life.  That is why it is so important to be happy.

Define what success is to you and then get up and look around the corner to see what is there.  Looking around the corner requires you to walk there.

In other words it takes steps.
