Ode To The New York Giants

Being a loyal Indianapolis Colts fan makes it really difficult to root for the Patriots. Actually it makes it impossible. Although I do not wish anything tragic to happen to them I am definitely looking forward to them getting beat. I have seen Tom Brady smile way too much this year.

The Giants being there is the next best thing for me. I love the underdog. I love that Peyton Manning's brother is at the helm of the Giants. I also think Strahan is hilarious.

In honor of Strahan, Eli and Coach Coughlin I have created a little victory poem in their honor. You can find these beautiful sentiments below.

Ode To The Giants

For the Giants and the Pats the day of reckoning is here
The rest of us plan to watch while putting away a ton of wings and a bunch of beer

The Pats are led on the sidelines by someone whose skill is difficult to knock
Unfortunately his demeanor and personality closely resemble that of a rock

They are led on the field by the one that goes by the name Brady
He certainly has some skill but I’ve little use for him, instead I’ll take his lady

They have the D, the line and the receivers, the perfect package wrapped up neat
I’ll be watching closely all the while hoping that they will be beat

Spygate II is upon us which leads me to think Belichik is a louse,
I only wish Strahan could run him over as he comes around the end to hit Brady in the mouth

At the end of the day I pray the only unbeaten team in history is the 1972 Dolphins
If so the only head being doused with a Gatorade shower won’t be Bills, instead it will be Coughlin’s

It would be fun to watch the Pat’s jump and curse
When they realized that Nostradamus has nothing on the prediction of Plaxico Burress

Peyton won last year, Imagine Archie’s joy when Eli takes his turn
The outcome is as of yet undecided, the fate of the Giants we will soon learn

Super Bowl Sunday is about football, food, beer and lots of fun
Even more so if the New England Patriots finish the season eighteen and one

My sentiments that I have shown may not suggest I have much class
But I really don’t give a damn as long as the Giants kick their ass
