Maybe My Wife Does Know Everything

I consider my wife the single greatest influence in turning my life around. My wife is much younger, yet much wiser than I. She has a really simple way to look at life which many of us would do well to implement in our own lives.

That being said this ability to handle difficulties, deal with every day stressors, and handle people has led her to the conclusion that she is always right. Go ahead ask her. She will tell you.

I have often wondered if this could in fact be possible. I have been told that no one is perfect. So I had my doubts about whether or not it would be possible for my wife to know everything. I am not saying that I am always wrong because my wife and I do agree on many things.

There are times when I feel like I should just keep my mouth shut so that Lindsay can tell everyone else how I feel about a certain topic. What a timesaver that would be.

The other day shortly after I had used some power tools and I was on the way to the computer to check out the latest college basketball rankings I just happened to walk by the television and noticed that Oprah was on. What I saw lent further if not indisputable evidence that my wife does know everything.

Approximately two weeks prior to this I had the chance to see my wife demonstrate the correct way to tie a scarf to one of her sisters. She matched up the two ends of the scarf, pulled it tight, draped it around her neck and then placed the two loose ends through the loop that was created and pulled. I had never actually known that there was a right or a wrong way to tie a scarf. I thought that you just wrap it around your neck a couple times and go about your merry way. This method was enlightening and ingenious, if not earth shattering.

Now back to what I saw on Oprah. There was a far less masculine gentleman than myself demonstrating to Oprah how to tie a scarf. It was the exact same method I had witnessed my wife demonstrate. Oprah proclaimed that she had never known this and was quite amazed.

That started me thinking. Oprah is the most powerful and richest woman in the United States. Her's is a remarkable success story. To get to where she is currently she had to possess superior intelligence, wisdom, and business acumen.

If someone asked me which woman on earth is most likely to know everything, I would respond Oprah. But yet there was at least one thing my wife knew that Oprah did not.

How could that be? Unless of course my wife truly does know everything.

Scary isn't it?
