Strap In The Beer, Not The Child An unbelievable report from the Associated Press details what police found when they pulled over Florida woman Tina Williams. In the front of the car was a case of Busch beer secured by a seat belt. In the back seat was 20 year old Amber Tedrick and her 16 month old daughter who was, unlike the beer, unrestrained.I wish I could say that this was a joke but I can not. The driver would not take a breathalyzer and would eventually be charged with a DUI, possession of paraphernalia, child abuse, and operating without a license. Certainly this was an unbelievable lapse in judgment on behalf of this woman. I believe there is very little funny about this situation. That being said I could not help but smirk when I realized that it was not Sam Adams, Guinness or any other fashionable beer but instead was Busch. That is like wrapping a 12'er of Natty Light in bubble wrap and placing it between two pillows before you shut the trunk. There is no need, it is impossible to hurt Natural Light or Busch beer for that matter. It amazes me that of all the drinkers that I know not one of them was so concerned about securing their favorite beverage with a seatbelt before transporting it. Among the alcoholic crowd I guess this would be called "responsible drinking". ---------------- ----------------------------------------------- |
