Sometimes You Are Wrong
Yep it is true. You are not always right. No one is. I'm not, you are not, no one is always right. Realizing this fact can improve
your relationships and perhaps save a relationship.
We have all heard the term "fight to the death". I was recently in one of these struggles. I was not going to give in. I was not
going to stop. Eventually after many arguments, and many hours, days and perhaps weeks lost of my life that I will never ever get
back I realized two things. The first is that I was wrong. And the second was fighting to the death was just plain stupid.
I was bound and determined to make this particular person stand by their word. I used every thing I had in my arsenal. I fought
and I did not fight fair I am ashamed to admit. Could I have made this person stand by their word. Yes, but it would not have
been the right thing to do.
I was holding onto something- an idea, a concept, a mistaken belief that did not apply anymore. There was no point. Sometimes
you just have to move on and realize that things have changed. Different times call for different rules.
Some things you hope are forever. Some things should be in fact forever. But others.........well they can be overlooked.
Pick your battles. Decide what is really important. Decide who is important.
